02 Aug Designers, This Tricky Typography Test Challenges How Well You Know Your Type
London-based designer Matej Latin has created a fun and interesting game that not only helps you learn more about typography, but also tests how well you know your type.
This ‘Font Memory Game’ was initially created as an educational tool for Better Web Type—a free online typography class for designers. It works similar to your old school memory game of images, but has letters inserted in place of graphics.
“Recognizing different styles of fonts is one of the most challenging parts of typography. This game helps you train your eyes to notice the smallest details,” reads its website.
Players can choose between varied levels of difficulty. Players are given 25 moves to match 10 sets of letters, while racing against the clock.
It may sound easy, but non-designers would probably find this exceptionally tricky, especially when it comes to noticing or remembering nuances in details.
